２４）忠実に働く　（Work Faithfully.)

　　「ところが、もし、そのしもべが、『主人の帰りはまだだ』

　と心の中で思い、下男や下女を打ちたたき、食べたり飲んだり、

　酒に酔ったりし始めると、しもべの主人は、思いがけない日の

　思わぬ時間に帰ってきます。そして、彼を厳しく罰して、不忠実な

　者どもと同じめに会わせるに違いありません。

　　ルカの福音書12章45〜46節

　　But suppose the servant say to himself,'My master is talking

　a long time in coming,'and he then begins to beat the other servants,

　both men and women, and to eat an drink and get drunk. The master

　of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and

　at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him

　a place with the unbelievers.

　　だれもみていない状況では、つい気が緩んでしまう者です。誰が見ていなくても、

　だれの前でも常に忠実でいられますように。「突然の帰宅」にあわてることのないよう、

　忠実に働きたいと思います。

　　だれもいないところではつい不誠実な態度を取りがちです、しかしそんな時こそ

　神様を感じていたいものです、そうすれば道を間違わずに済みます。
